10 TYPES OF KENYAN GHETTO GIRLS

Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, is the county with the highest population of people countrywide. Apart from the county being the centre of various business activities, it serves as a home for local residents as well. Just like in every other city, the residential places are divided into two; the Porsche areas hosting tycoons & politicians and the ghettos for the common mwananchi. Githurai๐Ÿ’ฅ,Kayole, Dandora, Jericho, Kibra, Mathare, Soweto, Huruma, Kawangware, Korogocho, Kariobangi, Mwiki & Dagoretti are just but a few of the popular ghettos in the county.

These areas have a reputation for their sassy Ma3 culture, as well as the affordable but risky lifestyle by their occupants. With pleasure, allow me to introduce you to the common types of Kenyan ghetto ladies, the popular "maempress wa ghetto" as they like being called.

     1. The Landlord's Daughter
You can't fail to recognize this one because of her folks. Her existence is known by almost everyone in the area, starting from the chief to the local shopkeepers. Whether she likes it or not, she has to be upright for the sake of her folk's reputation.

     2. The 'Brazaman'
AKA the morio. She's the cool type of tomboy who you'll mostly find in the company of boys. She's a common customer in the football arenas and game lounges. Her mouth tends to be occupied with khat 80% of the times that you'll bump into her. She's not into dating guys since every man she relates with is already fixed in the brother-zone.

     3. The 'Holier than Thou' type
You can never miss her in all church services on the Sabbath day. She claims to be saved and won't hesitate to rebuke the 'acts of sinners' in her hood. However, she surprises everyone by being impregnated by the mischievous bodaboda guy.

     4. The 'Queen'
Basically she's the queen of the ghetto because of dating the leader of the hood gangs. Due to her company of friends, she'll always find herself in the wrong side of the law. Nobody can dare try to mess with her because of the consequences that will follow, thanks to her 'king'.

   5. The Ambitious One
She's among the few people who successfully make it out of the ghetto. She's the bright kind that will complete her academics and achieve her goals. All along trying to make it in life, she will never abandon her roots and hometown.

   6. The Bitter One
This one will always be bitter because she'll never accept the fact that she's from the ghetto. She only speaks to the chosen few, making her unpopular. Her neighbors tend to relate her pride to 'maringo ya sumni'. She'll do anything to get out of there and that's why majority of her kind end up working as househelps in porsche estates like Lavington.

   7. The Cool Kid
Since she's in a higher class than the rest of her neighbors, they'll tend to misjudge her because she rarely interacts with them. You'll find this kind attending the local universities like KU, KCA, JKUAT, TUK or UON. She prefers hanging out with friends from a different area apart from her hood like Membley or Kahawa Sukari for instance.

   8. The 'Bad Company'
Any mother raising a daughter will always use this kind as the bad example of a girl with rotten morals. Her community judges her from her immodest dress code and being a partyholic, to her always being in the company of indecent men. Since being associated with her will automatically earn you a bad reputation, her circle of female friends is small. She tends to be rough and rude, but deep down, has a good heart and cares less about what people think of her.

   9. The Paparazzi
Just like her nickname, she is the mjuaji of the mtaa. Whenever you bump into her she'll always have some tea (udaku)for you. She's social, thus knowing everyone in her hood, and also has a story concerning each one of them, whether true or false. She'll attract you with her sweet fantasy stories of her life, within and outside the country, yet the furthest she's travelled is to her rural area.

   10. The Fashionista
She is upto date with the latest fashion trends in the market. With as low as 100bob, she's fully dressed to kill from head to toe, thanks to Gikomba and Toi markets. With her impressive looks and fashion sense, she attracts almost every Tom, Dik & Harry in her area. Nonetheless, she's the type that will play around with as many male's hearts as she pleases, but that won't stop them from trying their luck.
