Greetings to you my favorite reader, I hope you’ve been well. Your favorite blogger wishes to welcome you back to GOOD VYBES WITH SHAM BlogSpot. So, this time I decided to give you  a sneak peak about my life in campus; it’s quite interesting and I hope you’ll love it. Don’t forget to share and leave a comment at the end of the article.

CAMPUS VYBES  - LIVING IT UP

I remember four years back in high school, my favorite Maths teacher used to praise campus in such a way that I longed to be part of that amazing stage of life.”It will be fun,“ she said, “the best part comes in when you have an ID, giving you the freedom to do whatever that pleases you.” First of all, I acquired the ID, which came along with the responsibilities of being a ‘common mwananchi’ (nothing to be excited about). How I wish she also added the parts where you automatically become a hustler and get to share a common lifestyle with a church mouse, plus the burden of dealing with the responsibilities after venturing into the adult life.

The picture above genuinely explains a lot. That’s a photo of an eager and anxious me before boarding the train that would take me to my campus destination. I had somehow figured out the university that I wanted to join, which is the Technical University of Mombasa that stands on the one and only island our motherland has (ain’t bragging but it’s a fact). It is the famous Mombasa that people have a tendency of saying this phrase about it,”kuingia ni rahisi lakini kutoka balaa”.

Being a freshman, I think I interacted with more people than I should, since it has come to affect me both positively and negatively. Thanks to my large circle of friends, ive gotten to interact with people from different walks of life, tribes, personalities and cultures, making me learn a few things from them.

A fact that I came to terms with is ; unfortunately the higher you escalate in your educational level, the tougher the struggles become. Talk about ‘chapos’ being a comrades favorite meal simply because they are affordable, dealing with bedbugs AKA micro-comrades(for the ones living in the school hostels)and showing that million dollar smile when you get the Mpesa messages(fuliza is a major setback). Not forgetting you have to look presentable, have fun and fend for your stomach, whether you have the cash or not- the struggle is real people. But the best part comes in when you realize that no matter the hardships and challenges you go through, your folks and the friends you consider to be family always got your back.

Peer pressure is real out here, another thing I came to embrace. It’s a matter of how you handle it, coming hand in hand with relationships which according to me, can be termed as situationships. The small heartbreaks and disappointments have broken but  later on come to build me in the long run, keeping in mind the great phrase from Kelly Clarkson, ‘what does not kill you makes you stronger.’ On the academic sector, supplementary exams and RATS are nightmares to all comrades, a nightmare that should be avoided at all costs for a healthier living.

This was just but a small bit of my campus experiences. If I get another chance, I’ll dig more into topics like depression, friendship, spiritual and love life. Until next time, bye bye!

PS: I’ll appreciate if you shared your co memorable moments you had in Campus.

  16. You have four years to be irresponsible here, relax๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Work is for people with jobs. You'll never remember class time, but you'll remember the time you wasted hanging out with your friends. So stay out late. Go out with your friends on a Tuesday when you have a paper due on Wednesday. Spend money you don't have. Drink 'til sunrise. The work never ends, but college does...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
